Possible BW/HANA objects as sources for BCS (S/4 HANA)

We are in the process of setting up the datamodel for plan data from BW/BPC to serve BCS by RFC (different systems).

I am trying to understand from what BW and HANA objects (DSOs, cubes, views etc.) BCS are able to read data.

Also, I would appreciate a link to the SAP Help of the latest BCS version.

We are using (source and target system):

- BW750 SP3

- IBP

- S4HANA On Premise 1511

- SAPK-74802INFINBASIS

- SAPK-74802INSEMBW

Hi Martin,

i can see SophEx entity in a 74012 BWonHANA system, so that would be a good start for any sandbox modelling of BCS objects residing in ECC. i also understand that HANA is leveraging EC-CS more than BCS, but that again may only be applicable to Suite on HANA scenarios. when in doubt i would open an incident and have the support answer your question. the more detailed it is, the better your chances are for a good answer.

thx.
