RFC not connecting from BI to ECC server

Dear All,

We are working now,RFC connection between from BI server to ECC server.But it's not connecting.

Because we got below error with attached this mail.we are using LINK also am attached here.

We found and trying information all below,

1>>>I am checking user lock & unlock and

2>>>Then date valid check also.That's all ok.

Still now this problem was going on.so,please guide me..

That hostname looks incorrect.

Check if you can ping that hostname from the OS level and also make sure that the target SAP system instance number is correct.

Also like Reagan and Isaias said this to me seems network or DNS.

ECC to BI

103.231.79.232 3300

BI to ECC

103.231.208.130 3300

Completely different ip ranges also do nslookup with the ip address of the other on each server. And do a tracert between them. I see the one is a demo box and the other looks like an actual system if this is the case also check that from one server to the other server you can telnet into the ip and port 3300.

Hi Jeyaganesh,

In sm59 under technical setting tab use ip address of your target system instead of host name,once you hit save make sure same ip address is visible on "save to database as" column

Is BI and ECC systems in same network? You have to use SAP router if ECC and BI systems are in different network.

1.  Are you able to ping host from ECC to BI system at OS level?

2. Are you already integrated from ECC to BI ?

The error text shows "connection timed out".

The root cause must be one of the following:

• The details about the target system (hostname and/or service - sapgw00) are incorrect;
• The target system is down;
• There is something at the network (firewall?) that is blocking the connection.
