Analysis Add In when opening Excel

Morning Experts.

We have recently upgraded to Analysis 2.2 and noticed an issue.

When the user accesses standard excel it automatically activates the Analysis Add in.

This seems to be odd and wasnt an issue in older versions.

There is a way around this by manually disabling the Add in while you are in excel, but this is not a permanent solution.

The problem with the Add in activating is that it makes large excel reports a lot slower to run.

Can anyone please advise?

You can control this through registry settings

Rob,

only the ribbon tab is loaded, so the additional load time is minimal and the actual add-in won't be loaded until you insert a data source or open a workbook. So Excel content should not be impacted at all in most cases ...
