SAP IDM 7.2 on Oracle 12 / Performance Problems HCM to VDS

Hi there,

a few days ago we upgraded a SAP IDM 7.2 DB System on Oracle11 to Oracle12. Now we have a negative perfomance impact on a specifically job from a connected HCM system. It exports data into a VDS

It is apparent on the job log screen in the Indentity Center. The Job is called "Write HCM Employee To SAP Master". The Export from the HCM system is done by the abap program "RPLDAP_EXTRACT_IDM"

This job took about 7000 to 9000 sec under Oracle11. Now in Oracle12 it takes about 60000 to 80000 sec.

I installed the latest patchlevel of SAP IDM 7.2 (Stack 10) with the latest patchlevel for the IDM DB itself.

Does anybody else have this problem?

PS: As i can see in SAP PAM, Oracle 12 is supported ... but it is not mentioned in the IDM 7.2 documentations at all. Also SAP support does not react to a ticket

Hi Stefan,

a customer of us faces same performance issues with the oracle 12 db. We also opened a ticket, will report back when the problem is fixed.

@Ridouan It is supported. Look at the online-version of the PAM.

I am just curious, where do you see Oracle 12 is supported?

In the PAM I see just Oracle 11.2 is supported with IDM 7.2 and 8.0.
