Name server issues

Hi All,   Moved to new Host. All teh system copied into HOST.   Getting an issue "Name server unreachbale" Name server is not showing as what configured in Ttack at NWDI/CMS.   I have updated all the new URLs to trak cof DTR, CBS and SLD(in domain data for Track)   But still Name server(SLD) is getting an different than what it was maintained in Track for domain data level.   I noticed XML file having name space is different than the SLD and same XML file Name Space is showing when i want import the track into NWDS.   XML file found in thi slocation:  "CMS track data--> Track Data-->Build variants --> Display development Configuration"   Any help appreciated. Dear Rag,

Could you let me know what you can see in the CMS-->"Landscape Configurator" --> "Domain Data" tab?

Did you resave your tracks? (After you change the SLD you have to resave the all track.)

Hi Szabolcs,   Domain data i can see the CMS url and SLD url as well.   I did saved all the tracks after i changed the SLD. Thanks Rag

Could you please let me know which name server is defined in SLD?

Hint:

Please navigate to the SLD -->"CIM Instances" --> Select class "System Landscape Directory"  --> Press to "Properties" tab and check the CimomURL

This URL is same as you can see in the CMS Domain data tab?

If this is different please let me know that this SLD (as name sever) is available or not?

Hi Szabolcs,   SLD -->"CIM Instances" --> Select class "System Landscape Directory"  --> Press to "Properties" tab.   I Saw the two systemlandscap Directories.   1. URL :http://XXXX07:50000/sld/cimom   2. http://YYYY09:50000/sld/cimom in CMS Domain data i am seeing that : http://XXXX07.XX.XX.us:50000  but in XML file in Build variant name server is showing :http://YYYY09:50000/sld/cimom Thx Rag

Hi Szabolcs, Even i removed the No.2 urls 2. http://YYYY09:50000/sld/cimom and traied in CMS domain data still it showing same name-server(http://YYYY09:50000/sld/cimom) in XML file for tracks. Thanks Rag

Which SLD would you like to use as name server?

          1.     http://XXXX07.XX.XX.us:50000/sld

Or

          2.     http://YYYY09:50000/sld

Hi Szabolcs,   I want to use the SLD.   1.    http://XXXX07.XX.XX.us:50000/sld I did deleted the other SLD(2. http://YYYY09:50000/sld) but it still showing the no.2 SLD(http://YYYY09:50000/sld) as name-server in XML file. I didn re-saved the track as well. Is there any other restart or activated needed. Thanks Rag

Hi Rag,

When you changed the SLD in the domain data tab you should Select "Update CMS" to update the CMS with the software component versions of the new SLD. This process may take several minutes.
