BPC MS version to ECC

Hello Gurus,

One of our clients have SAP ECC system and BPC MS version.  They are interested in using BPC MS version connecting to ECC system.

I am seeking clarifications on the below mentioned items.

1. How can we connect BPC MS version to ECC?

2. If we could connect it, how reporting is done? can we do reporting on business objects?

3. Which one is recommended over ECC - BPC MS or NW version?

Hi Renjith,

2. Reporting can be done with BPC's EPM Add-In Excel....Why the need of Business objects? Do you have any specific requirements of dashboards or something?

3. Mostly implementations all over the world with ECC are with NW version. I guess SAP also recommends it. Since standard procedures to flow data from ECC to BW to BPC are already in place and hassle free.

They are having business objects and is interested in Dashboard reports.  Can we do BO reporting on top of BPC MS?

Hi,

Yes...you can..You will need the EPM Connector to connect EPM to Dashboard.
