SAP system is slow - MTP

Hi there,

I'm relatively newer than a newbie which I would like to call myself, Noob's Noob. Therefore, please bear with me if I don't really understand the technical jargon or if I did not provide the necessary information when creating this thread.

We currently have an issue with our MTP (Production) environment that it is responding very slowly. There are no long running dialog work processes, but the DIALOG work processes are constantly 0 free.

Hello Eric,

Err column shows that your wps restarted many times. There is somethning inconsistent.

Can you attach one of the developer trace of a wp. You can select one of the row and from one of the menu find Trace display. You can download the trace file and attach to the message.

Time column does not have higher values. That means works finish in short times. But stil no free wp.

That means you are out of DIA wps. You should increase the number.

Check wait time part of DIA response time using ST03 transaction.

Attach SM21 logs also.

There are SEM 18 also. This semaphore is about "SEM_DB_TTAB  DB-table-description-Buffer"

Can you attach ST02 screenshot, too.

I've never seen an APP so busy and errors.

Are you able to add more dialog and background processes?

Its tricky, make sure you have the memory.

Do you have time limits on how long a user can run in foreground?

You just need allot of tuning/refining.

Whats the specs on your server? OS?DB?
