Hello Experts,
I am referring to this blog - and while I try to execute the same steps to create a Geomap on BO cloud, I do not get any option to change any of my dimensions in the model. I am using SAP HANA Analytic view as the source ( through Live Data Connection). Here we need to create a Location dimension but do not get any option to do this.
Can you provide your helpful inputs please?
Thanks,
Megha
Hi Megha,
At high level you'll need to:
See the attachment Manually Enriching a HANA View.pdf' in the following release note for more information:

These videos are also useful for Geo Spatial in HANA:

Hi Megha,
The reason you cannot follow the steps in the blog is because of your Live connection. This works differently.
You'll need to prepare the geospatial data within HANA Studio. See this link for more information. Unfortunately, some geospatial analysis features will be automatically disabled. These include map filters and the choropleth layer.
For dimension modeling using a HANA view you'll need to access the model-preferences-dimension settings. More info here.
You might consider creating a flat file with your GEO data and use this as model. This allows for more flexibility and options.
Kind regards,
Clemens
