Hi Christoph,

these are spool requests coming from a spool device in the SAP system that is configured to use access method 'C'. The number in the "user defined data" (column "Ben.-Daten") is the spool number in the SAP system. In transaction SP01, you can explicitly search for a spool request number. If you have more than one SAP system running in that partition, you may have to look at all of them and compare the spool creation date to identify the correct one. Once you have identified the spool request in the SAP system (SP01), you can look at the creator and the output device properties and decide what to do with them. For example, if this is the default device LP01, you may want to change the access method from 'C' to 'L' to avoid that spooled files are created in the IBM i system.

Kind regards,

Christian Bartels.

Hi,

i want to know, which process creates such spool-files

and

is there any config-attrib to reduce or omit those creating of spool-files.

i can delete many spool-files with IBM-i/OS commands or self-created CLP or CMD.

TIA

Christoph

Hi Christoph.

You may not clear the spool files during the SAP instance active on IBM-i. better you can stop the instance and clear the spools.
