Dear Experts,
We did Migration of Customer data from Netherlands into our SAP CRM 7.0 System.
Unfortunately we did it without the country dialling code Setting "Digit to be deleted -> 0" for NL.
That means, we do have the leading 0 in Field TELNR_LONG after the Country code, which is wrong.
e.g. TEL_NUMBER 040 12 34 566 is translated into +310401234566 It should be +31401234566
We now did the missing Setting in Customizing. Newly entered Numbers are stored in the correct Format now, but all the old numbers are still in the wrong Format.
Is there a way to do an update of the field TELNR_LONG!
Thanks for your help
Best regards Stefan
Stefan,
We had the exact same thing!
We decided to create a custom report to select the relevant numbers from ADR2, call function TELNUMBER_STRUCT_TO_NORMAL with the country code and tel_number from ADR2, and update the telnr_long directly in the ADR2.
We did this both in SAP CRM as well as in SAP ECC.
Maybe not the most clean solution, but it does the trick in minutes instead of days when you would convert this using BAPI's (and replication).

Pieter Rijlaarsdam
