We are currently attempting to produce an adhoc query (we have been unable to find a pre-built report with this function) which reports absence over 14 consecutive weeks.
Currently, some of our absences are input as separate records (i.e. the employee may be absent from work Mon-Fri, then confirms on Monday they will not be at work). So if the records are the following:
Start | End | Absence Reason |
04/01/2016 | 08/01/2016 | Sickness |
11/01/2016 | 15/01/2016 | Sickness |
18/01/2016 | 22/01/2016 | Sickness |
25/01/2016 | 29/01/2016 | Sickness |
01/02/2016 | 05/02/2016 | Sickness |
08/02/2016 | 12/02/2016 | Sickness |
15/02/2016 | 19/02/2016 | Sickness |
22/02/2016 | 26/02/2016 | Sickness |
29/02/2016 | 04/03/2016 | Sickness |
07/03/2016 | 11/03/2016 | Sickness |
14/03/2016 | 18/03/2016 | Sickness |
21/03/2016 | 25/03/2016 | Sickness |
28/03/2016 | 01/04/2016 | Sickness |
04/04/2016 | 08/04/2016 | Sickness |
11/04/2016 | 15/04/2016 | Sickness |
18/04/2016 | 22/04/2016 | Sickness |
Is there a way of comparing this with the planned working time (which knows when the employee should be at work), to show that this absence has been one spell lasting over 14 weeks? As opposed to 16 separate absences?
I've also thought if there's a way of reporting on working time and attendance, to see if there's a way of seeing if an employee hasn't attended work for over a period of 14 weeks.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Try txn PT65 for a period covering a few days on both sides of the whole period (here from say 1.1.2016 to 24.04.2016)
