How to assign new authorization object to a transaction?

Former Member

I have created a new authorization object. Then, created a role with profile generator and included the new authorization object in the role. But, when I executed the transaction, it does not check authorizations in the new authorization object.

How to proceed?

Hi Lucio,

go to se93. enter the transaction code to which you want to add the authorization object. Click change, Enter the new authorization object in the 'Authorization object' field and enterthe proper values.

Save and execute the transaction.

Hi Sharadha,

Thank you very much...

This works when we need to limit at the level of transaction...

I am not geting success with transactions PA61, PA30, PA20 and PA51 to restrict access at the level of infotypes. Let me do some testing, first! If there is no success I will post a new thread.

Why a new Auth Object? You can check Tcode Authns via the Std Authn. Object 'S_TCODE' .

Thanks for your reply.

Why new object?

Because, I need to restrict access into an infotype based on Personal Subarea.

As I know, there is not a standard authorization object with Personal Subarea field.
