Idoc Flat file to R/3

Hi,

I have a scenario where Idoc is generated from EDI mapping tool in plain text format. I want to post this Idoc to R/3 without using any third party tool. Is there any configuration required on R/3 side?

I am planning to write ABAP but not sure if it can be done directly in SAP R/3/ERP.
