Hi,
Can anyone explain what is the difference between A2A Scenarios and B2B scenario with examples please?
Can some explain me with real scenario example, that will be very helpful.
Thanks
Shaik
Shaik,
A2A scenarios concern the integration of application systems within the company, for example, synchronizing customer data between SAP R/3 and an oracle database.
B2B scenarios concern the integration of business partners, for example electronic ordering and invoicing.

Hi
If 2 implicitly trusting applications connect, then it is A2A (typically within a company)
If the trust has to be established b/w the sender and the receiver party, then it is B2B (typically across company borders)

Hi Azias
A2A means application to application,it refers to scenarios which u do within ur landscape.suppose u have a R/3 and a File server and ur doing IDOC to File, then it will be a A2A scenario.
B2B means business to business,it refers to scenarios between two separate business(different landscape),suppose u have company A which wants to talk to company B withour exposing their internal landscape, now in this case it will be a B2B scenario.
party comes into play for B2B scenarios, its actually a name given to your business by organisations like DUNS,NAFTA etc. and uniquely identifies ur business.u can think of party as a postal address for ur organisation.if someone from outside has to send you something then he needs ur postal address(party) but if u want to interfact within ur house ,u dont need any postal address, hence no party name.
hope its clear now
Cheers..

A2A is application to application. When two applications in a company communicates with each other we call it an A2A scenario and if its across Companies we call it B2B or buisness to buisness.
Consider an Car Manufacturing Company, it may use XI for integrating its ERP system with say an HR system and so on. As both systems are in the same landscape, it becomes an A2A.
Likewise, the Company might have transactions with say a Glass Manufacturing Unit or organization . When XI is used to Integrate these systems, it becomes a B2B as you use it to integrate 2 different Businesses in different landscapes.
