Can SAP BC & XI reside in the same system?

The answer is Yes.

Hardware requirement for SAP BC server and developer is very low. It can even be installed on machine without high configurations. So ur overall hardware requirement for combined BC and XI installation would be almost equivalent to h/w reuirement of XI alone

To install PCK we dont need either

J2EE stack or ABAP stack right ??

J2EE stack is a must for PCK

we do need the j2ee stack. PCK runs of WebAS Java
