Intercompany Billing

Hi gurus,

While going throa doc on intercomapny billing i came accross a line that intercompany billing can e carried out when both the company codes are within the same client.

My doubt here is wht does client refer to .Whether the system production server client or some other thing .Pls reply.

Hello

client here is the supreme level in 'organization in Accounting' structure.

From client 'chart of accounts' are derived, which get further diverted to business areas[ Company codes].

so this 'client' here is not a machine ,but an organ of the enterprise structure.

Hi banerjee,

But in my sand box server.I have created 2 differrent company code.Which belong to different company's and i am still able to do the intercompany billing.Can u pls explain me in detail.

an inter company transaction happens between 2 co.codes which r under 1 company

hai,

intercompany billing takes place between two company codes that belongs to a one client, client refers to which sap has been implemented,that client has two

company codes and u are doing intercomapny billing between them.
