Hello Gurus,
I am not able update any personal numbers when using through back ground mode.We are using internal number ranges and we are not passing personal numbers.I am getting return code 1001 from call transaction using PA40.Meanwhile when i use error mode or display mode,i is updating properly.
Please help in this regard.

It appears that there is some difference in the screens when you call the transaction in foreground, or error screen mode and no screen mode. Did you handle your recording for background mode as well ?

what difference it wl make when calling background processing?I am not passing the pern since the number range is internal.The system has to provide the numbers as per the customisation..right?
Can i run direct Hiring action in Background mode without giving personal number?
Do i need to write any logic separately for getting personal number and passthis?

Hi,
Let me know some more details, what are all the infotypes are you calling during the recording, have you selected the personnel number field during the recording, what are all the records are you maintaining in the legacy.
