Customizing CCMS Alerts

Former Member

Hi All,

We have CCMS configuration in place.

We recieve regular alerts as emails in our Lotus inbox, for these CCMS alerts.

But the problem is this that the subject line for all the alerts is same.

For eg. CCMS alerts <sid> 20070710 050901

But the requirement is that the suject of each mail for different type of alert should be different .

How can I customize these CCMS alert emails.

Can somebody guide me in this.

Regards

Abhishek

Thanks Micheal for your reply.

Though your reply is absolutely correct but it does not solves my problem beacuse this note is not applicable for my release which is 4.6B.

Can you help me bit more on this.

I am also trying to search some relevant note for my release.

Hello Abhishek,

with release 46B: sorry, no chance.

In this case you would need to develop your own function modules. As you have read in the note the mentioned functionality is available only since release 6x.

But you need not this functionality within your 46B system itself! If you plan to (or already have) install a Central Monitoring System (CEN) on release 6x (e.g. SolutionManager 3x) or higher (e.g. SolutionManager 4x on basis release 7x) you could use the central autoreaction (<a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/429265">note 429265</a>). This way the autoreaction is executed on the CEN and the function module would be available.

Hi, all

If anyone knows that answer please let me know, beucase I didn't find anywhere

In CCMS alerts nodes (memory/CPU utilization) setup for auto-re-action, I received alert in lotus notes, but manualy, when I apply

RZ20 (MTE tree)

SAP CCMS Monitor Templates --> Dialog Overview --> Entire System --> SID --> Operating system --> Memory --> Free memory

When I selected free memory and click "OPEN ALERTS" button it shows

Free Memory 2 alerts, 105 < 15 MB (with red color) then I received 2 alerts in mail unless I have to go from menu Extras --> Active mantance function then from menu "Edit --> Notes MTE --> Start method --> start auto-reaction method then it show in my lotus notes

My question is that why is not doing automatically?

2nd when I fix free memory probelm color become green but when it become red again then number of alers shows 3 alerts?

I don't know you guys get my point but please some help

Thanks
