Delivery Creation date is blank in shipping details of PO

Hi All,

I have an issue where delivery notification is not created as the Delivery Creation date is appearing blank in shipping details of Purchase Order(me23n transaction).

i could see in most of the PO as soon as we save the PO with the required details, delivery creation date (in shipping tab) is automatically proposed. In few PO's the delivery creation date is not proposed.

I would like to know the reason for this and what needs to done to rectify this.

HI

Delivery date in Shipping tab of PO depends on combination of Shipping point, Shipping condition, Transporatation group and Routes (If applicable).

Whenever u create PO system checks for these settings, according to that it will calculate how many days to create, picking, packing of the material, from route(if applicable) it will calculate how many days in transit and according to that it will suggest at the time of making PO only.

Please check these combination, u'll get ur answer. Compare the PO where date is coming to PO witout date.

The Delivery creation date for a PO is based on the material availability date found using transaction MM03 or the transportation planning date.

The route and other items do not play a role in Purchase order delivery creation date. It is very different than the sales order.

The day on which you create a delivery.

Use

During delivery processing, the system automatically proposes the delivery creation date for all schedule lines with the same goods issue date by taking the earliest of the following dates:

The material availability date

The transportation planning date

Hi,

Check if the material master has availability checking group assigned in its Sales View...If not maintained, maintain it and create the STO again..
