<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.sdn.businesscard.sdnbusinesscard?u=qeknyy2joai%3d">i Can Solve It</a>
Maybe he can solve <b>David Halitsky's</b> mind trick questions -;)
Jokes apart....He must be warned about naming convention on SDN....
Greetings,
Blag.
Clearly I didn't see the joke ... what's wrong with "Mahesh Raganmoni"?

In your post that I replied to there is a link that goes to the business card of someone called Mahesh:
I'll have a pint of whatever you've been drinking.
Ok...That's extremely weird...That BC was pointing to someone called <b>I can solve it</b>, but know it points to Mahesh...But Mahesh already exists...It seems that <b>I can solve it</b> change it's name to an existing one...
Sorry about this NXO...I came to tought that you were a Flammer trying to put me againts Mahesh...A big sorry man -:(
I'm drinking some Whisky and Crush...Taste very good -:) Or you can try Mountain Dew and Rum -;)
Greetings,
Blag.

Well not scary names but some interesting ones in the APO-Forum
<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/profile?userid=793960">group APO</a>

But probably the most inspiring (?) one <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/profile.jspa?userID=3511278">myDrEEM my Dreem</a>.
Cheers.

I dont get it ..Almost all the posts posted in coffee corner somewhow or the other take a funny turn and from there its all Haywire !!!!
There is absolute no connection to the question asked and replies expected after a few couple of replies. Which is kinda funny to read ...

but isn't this what's happening in coffe corners regularly? You talk about some professional stuff ... deviate to your latest weekend's adventure ... someone else joins ... shares a laugh and throws in another serious question/remark ... or just the latest gossip about HIM or HER... and so on...
It's funny how a Name convention thread turns into a completely different topic... It was a fun read!

Here's <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/profile.jspa?userID=3610479">EMENEM</a>.. no wonder we have so much noise in the forums!
have fun

I wouldn't go by the country.. hey if I can fake a name on the BusinessCard, why not the country?
and just for the fun of it here is <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/profile.jspa?userID=2979391">IceCube</a> for you!
have fun,

Oh come on guys and girls - stop being so serious about real names!
Surely answering questions and helping people is really the main reason for being here.
I hide my name as my boss visits frequently to post questions - do I want to show him I'm not doing any work by using my real name?
Even if the name you looks real, I'm sure 9/10 times it's made up for the same reason I give!
Stop this thread and get back to answering those questions....
Ok...Your name is really funny LOL And true -;) There's only one F in FICO -:P
This is a professional community, so we encourage the use of real names...Your point is valid...You boss visit the community often (Good for him)...And you want him to catch you here...So...Why can your boss be here and you don't??? Are you here just chatting or looking for solutions to your problems???
I work as a Freelance so I actually have no real "boss", but everytime someone tells me that I spend too much time here, I simply answer that I'm looking to improve my knowledge by answering and reading post in the forums, and by reading weblogs....Trust me...It always work -;)
Also, this is the Coffee Corner, a neutral place to talk about the simple joys of life....And funny names seems to be a good example for a topic -:)
It's not same when you answer to Alvaro Tejada rather to Scripting Languages Wizard right? Things get to go more impersonal when you hide your real name -:)
Greetings,
Blag.
Good point about " Why can your boss be here and you don't???" it's because I've answered questions he's asked!
It would be inappropriate for him to know it was me - he's too proud to come and ask me directly. Like you I'm a freelance/contractor but there is always someone that pays the invoice!
I look as if I'm fairly new here but I forgot my user id and had to register a second time. I've been posting answers to questions for over two years now. Mmm yes you're right a real name would be more personal. I'm sorry. After 12 years of using SAP (yes I've seen R/2!) I just thought I'd brighten someone's dull moment!
I'll change my name to a real one.
Will Alice Cooper do?
> You know, I really can't think of a single

I DO (waving hand in the air). I've worked with SAP for twelve years for some very large organisations - Exxon Mobil, TotalFinaElf, Cable & Wireless, Vodafone, Barclays, Transport for London and I'm female.
(Can you guess who I am yet? No?, ok good)
I've submitted my real name to forums before and don't tell me how they do it but I've been the victim of fraud!
> OK - female. My wife does the same sort of thing, so
> there's one reason.
Actually, it doesn't matter female or not - identity theft could happen to anyone.
When it happens it's quick - 5 accounts were setup in a week and it took me about 2 months to finally sort everything out. I can think of better things to use my time.....
Alvaro,
I don't think <b>David Halitsky</b> is breaking any naming convention, his is a genuine name and userid.

Alavaro was not meaning that "David" was a fake name he was making a joke about the user's name from his link "I Solve It" and the sometimes complicated problems that David brings up in his threads - the ones that require a good amount of thinking to catch. David is quite well known for those complicated problems here in the community.
Hi,
IMO only real names should be allowed

Eddy,
you just can't enforce that without requesting a passport copy and even then, who knows what an Algerian passport looks like.
Judging it by the plausibility of names, are
Wu Tan
Lisa Noalot
Kentikli Krentoli
'real names'? Who knows...
In the end it makes no difference for me if someone on the web 'tags' himself <b>Charles Huber</b> or <b>aluva</b>
Anton
Eddy,
these is of course a valid policy but it puts some negative restrictions on the possibilities to communicate with you.
Imagine, I just graduated from school and I am interested in some biosience engineering study. Amongst others I find that the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven offers an interesting program next year called 'Master of Nano-sciences and Nano-technology'.
Now what I wanted to do these times is to read all the carefully presented information on your website but also get in touch with people there, fellow students, to ask them about their experiences, assessment of the professional as well as social life and whichother things interesting to me.
Sadly I can't because there is no public forum at that site at all. If there were one but I had to fill in a lot of personal information and even send in a photocopy of my passport, I'd ask myself why? I just want to get in touch with like-minded people to discuss things and not give away myself to the whole apparatus.
I suppose you got my point. It depends on the target audience and the services you want to offer to them. This place here seems to have a more loose policy to target the interested general audience and not only customers, partners or in general people who have to engage in a formal association first before letting them take part.
my 2 cents,
anton
btw, very professional and informative site of your employer!
Hi atg -
I wasn't aware I had posted any ... what questions are you referring to ?
