Datasource xxx is not defined in the source system

Hi guys

I have a problem in 2004s sp11.

I have transported a large number of data sources from D to Q. When I execute an infopackage nothing happens. I tried the extractor check (RSA3) for a number of data sources and it says "Datasource xxx is not defined in source system".

I took one of the data sources 0MATERIAL_TEXT and retransported with comm struct, datasource replica, transfer rules, infosource, transfer struct and routine. Still the same error in RSA3.

I then manually actived the data source (transfer rules) in the target system. It goes ok but I still get the same error in RSA3.

What to do???

Thx

Karsten

All;

I have a problem in RSA3 in the BW, but in ECC is OK:

DataSource 0MATERIAL_TEXT is not defined in the source system.

Even if you logged on to the source system ( R/3) from BI, you still need to run RSA3 in the source system. Try RSA3 in R/3 system.

Are you running RSA3 for 0MATERIAL_TEXT in BW? You need to run this in the source system (R/3). It allows you to see the data as it exits the source system.

When transporting R/3 datasources, execute the transport in the source system (R/3) first. Then Replicate the DataSources in BW. Then transport your BW objects.

Does this help?

Hi guys

Thx for your input.

I tracked it down to an error in the RFC connection on R/3.
