Hi All,
I followed the installation guide to install and configure JDI. According to the tutorial of JDI administration, I created a domain. But when I tried to create a track the following message appears
-
DTR (URL http://CNL50035417:50000/dtr) server exception: Repository "http://CNL50035417:50000/dtr" failed to properly respond to request "PROPPATCH ws/APPL/example.org_APPLICATION/dev/" [HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error]
-
Could sombody give me some suggestion?
Thanks
Jerome

Hi,
Thanks for your information.
I can access the http://server:port/devinf and http://server:port/dtr with the administrator user/password. What I did follows the instruction of scenario 2. However, when I tried to create the track, the error occurs.
Any other suggestion?
Thanks + Regards
Jerome

Hi Ramakrishna,
My procedure is following the scenario 2+ of SAP Library. The doc can be found at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/89/6a158b3d254664a0ffbc7381334b76/content.htm.
I created the user and software component as the scenario specifies. During the 3rd step "Creating a Domain and Track in the CMS". I Fill the domain data as the doc specifies. The domain "Tst" was saved without any problem. But an error occurs when I created a track using the software component created in SLD and tried to save this track by clicking on the "Save" button on the "Track Data" tab. It says "DTR (URL http://server:port/dtr) server exception: Repository "http://server:port/dtr" failed to properly respond to request "PROPPATCH ws/aaa/example.org_APPLICATION/dev/" [HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error]".
Could you help to see what happens?
Best Regards
Jerome
You can find that in http://<server>:<port>/sld -> Administration -> Details -> Data
at the end of the row of the table.
I don't know the answer of the other questions.
Best regards,
Siming
Only admin can create Software component and track.
If you check this url
http://<server>:<port>/devinf ->click on CMS
(assuming that you have created SC)
In CMS click on Landscape configurator
click on domain tab fill all the data similarly, track data, runtime systems, save the data.
give proper servernames and ports.
do let me know if any specific error if you get on particular step.

Hi Jerome,
If you get an "Internal Server Error" from DTR, you need to take a look at the "default trace" file on the server (Using Visual Admin). This will give more details on why the error occured.
If you need further help after that, I suggest you open an OSS message on the component BC-CTS-DTR.

Manohar
Hi all,
if you are using SAP DB, it's reported that this error when saving tracks may be caused by bad indices in SAP DB (of particular release - AFAIK 7.4.something). So to overcome this problem: 1st check your SAP DB for bad indices ( I did it from WEB DBM snap-in in SAPMMC -> Tuning -> Index Use -> Select Bad). If there are some bad indices, try to recreate them (SAPMMC -> Recovery -> Indexes). I did it one by one because the button Recrate all bad indexes didn't work for me, maybe you will be more lucky. Then saving of tracks wokred fine.
Regards, Richard.
Which version of NWDI are you using?
Can you access that URL in a normal browser session? If not, try using the fully qualified domainname and see if that helps. If that is the case, make sure you have specified fully qualified domainnames in the URLs of your domain definition.
