difference between se11 and se12

I would like to know the difference between se11 and se12 and their usages

hi,

SE11 is used in new versions. we can create /change/view the DDIC components here.

but in se12 we can't create DDIC components just we can view them..

in SE11 we can view tables ,views ,search helps in change mode...

in SE12 we cannot create any tables or views only we can view all in display mode.

Hello Maaya

SE12 is only for displaying while in SE11 you can also create/change objects.

Accordingly the authorization objects for these two transactions will be different...

While on <b>SE11</b> transaction- you can activate, delete and copy ur ABAP dictionary elements like- table, views, datatype, groups, domain, search help and lock bjects.

but on <b>se12</b>, u can only display the above dictionary elements. copy, delete and change options are not available.

Hi Maaya,

se11 is the data dictonary where you have the rights to create and edit tables......

but se12 is the data dictionary in display mode...no changes can be made for tables in se12 transaction...
