Cannot install database instance for ABAP version

Hi

Managed to install the central instance OK but the database instance fails with a message "node c:\Documents\DATA does not exist".

I tried creating the required folder and it then fails saying "node and\DATA does not exist". It looks to have gotten confused with the words "Documents and Settings".

Tried XP Pro and 2000, same result.

Anybody managed to get it loaded and working?

Hello Mike,

are you talking about the new ABAP Sneak Preview? If yes I'm currently loading the database. Where have you unpacked the rar? Could the Path been to long? I've used C:\temp.

That seems to be the problem - I was installing it from "Documents and Settings" - moved it up to c: and it has now gone on to the next step.

I've had this problem when I unpacked the NWDS and so I thought here it could be the same.
