SSO doesn't work to BW Web Report (but works to transactions)

Hey Guys,

I've configured SSO between EP and BW, as described on the weblog "Integration of SAP Business Warehouse and Enterprise Portal – Single Sign-on"

The SSO works perfectly when I'm accessing a BW transaction, but when I try to access a BW Web Report, the SSO doesn't work. It asks user and password.

I'm working on EP6.0 SP9 and BW 3.1

Tks,

Cezar

Hi Cezar,

Are your BW and Portal on the same domain?

If so, enter the portal with the full domain name (in the address bar).

This may solve your problem.

Hope that helps,

Yoav.

Hi Yoav,

It solved the problem!

We just added an entry with a full hostname to the portal server on their WINS server (like we had to BW) and it worked perfectly.

Thanks,

Cezar

i have done the relevant settings for the same.

application host, gateway host, gateway service (sapgw00),

sap client, sys ID, sys no and port.sys type sap_bw.

user management : uspwd and admin, user.

and maintained user mapping as well.

still i am not able to connect to my BW system.

error :

retrieval of alias is successful.

connection failed : check user mapping and connection properties.

from all these messages i guess u have already connected BW 3.1 system .. can u please help me in this regard.

Hi Krishna,

I'm sending you an example of the most important parameters to configure a BW system into Portal:

Web Application Server (WAS)
WAS Description: BW3
WAS Host Name: hostname.bw.com:8080 (<bw_hostname>:<BW_ICM_Port>)
WAS Protocol: http

Connector
Application Host: hostname.bw.com
Gateway Service: sapgw00 (sapgw<sys_nr>)
Logical System Name: BW3CLNT100
SAP Client: 100
SAP System ID (SID): BW3
SAP System Number: 00
Server Port: 3200 (32<sys_nr>)
System Type: SAP_BW

Hope this helps,

Cezar

Hi Cezar,

I am experiencing some issues in configuring SSO between BW & Portal.

Would it be possible to send the weblog "Integration of SAP Business Warehouse and Enterprise Portal – Single Sign-on" by email at ccheeti@glanbia.ie.

I searched in the SDN, but could not find the same.

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Chandu

Hi Cezar,

Have you done the required configuration for user management. If not you can find the details at SAP help

Hope it works.

hi cezar.

BW transactions are workign because you set your ITS path correctly and BW reports are not working because you have set your WAS properties incorrectly, if i am right..

just check out your WAS parameters in system definetion of your BW system

Thankyou
