Hello Kiran,

PCUI stands for People Centric User Interface.

The PCUI is just a webinterface for the normal GUI.

In fact there is no difference between the GUI and PCUI, only that PCUI is very difficult to customize and obsolete in a few years. The latests version of CRM (2006s, 2006s/2 and 2007) don't even have PCUI anymore.

The PCUI always has the same 'look-and-feel' by using a pattern approach for displaying the screens. Each PCUI application (like Business Partners, Opportunities, ...) will have the same structure, it has a search screen, a list and a detail screen.

Reward points if useful,

Hello,

One thing I forgot to mention is that SAP Netweaver Portal is required to run PCUI in a production scenario.

In your examples, WebClient, spro, none of them are PCUI transactions. PCUI is a web framework (and thus displayed in an internet browser) that works with BSP pages.

Now, what is a PCUI transaction and how can I test them?

To add a PCUI transaction to your SAP GUI menu.

- In the SAP GUI menu right click on Favorites

- Choose "Add other object"

- Choose "CRM BSP Application" in the input help.

- You get a screen where you need to provide a name

Take one of the PCUI examples

Category Modeler (CRMM_ERM_CAT)

Rule modeler (CRMM_ERM_RULES)

Account Mgmt (CRMM_ACCOUNT)

Once added, double click on it and a web browser will launch the application.

Hope it is clear now,

Regards,

Joost
