II would like to use customer sales data without using the datasource 2LIS_01_S001. Is it possible to have the LO datasource that replaces 2LIS_01_S001? Please advice.

well I would say depending on your requirements, you can get all information from the 2LIS_11, 2LIS_12 and 2LIS_13* datasources. Check also this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/04/47a46e4e81ab4281bfb3bbd14825ca/frameset.htm
