Dear,

Check in SPRO transaction - OMCP, movement type push button

Check movement type 261...any dynamic ave check is activated?

A W mess. only issued in the case of non-availability

B E mess. only issued in the case of non-availability

E Message in any case: W mess. for non-avail., otherw. S mess.

F Message in any case: E mess. for non-avail., otherw. S mess.

S Availability check only with simulation

IF the setting is B, then it may give error if the checking rule assigned is looking for different receipt elements then one assigned in production order

Check - OMCP - in transaction code push button - Which checking rule is assigned to MB1a/MIGO?

Check in material master MRP3 view which Checking group for availability check is assigned in that plant.

Now combination of checking rule in OMCP and checking group will decide the receipt and issue elements when you issue the material in MB1a/MIGO.

<b>Check the receipt and issue element in define checking rule push button by passing above checking group and checking rule</b>----1

Check in OPJK, for the combination of plant/order type/business function(2), which checking rule is assigned usually it is PP.

<b>Check in OMJJ, for the checking group from material master and checking rule from OPJK, the receipt and issue elements in OPJJ.</b>----2

Is the result in 1 and 2 are same or different?, then you will have the problem you explained.

Hence you need to talk to MM and switch off the settings in OMCP for the movement type concerned, then it will be al right

Hi,

you might not have defined the proper settings for availability check.

following is the logic in defining the settings.

Availability check for a material is carried out only if the material is

1. A stock item

2. Not a phantom item

3. Not a bulk material.

This can be carried out

1. during order creation

2. during order release

3. when a created order is saved.

Availability check can be triggered either manually or automatically.

For this we need to define in checking control(opjk)

First define a checking group(ovz2) and checking rule and this

must be assigned to checking scope.(opjj)

In the checking scope(opjj) we should define

1. which Mrp elements are to be considered during check

2. which inventory categories are to be taken into account

3. whether Replinishment lead time is to be taken into account or not

4. whether check is also to be carried at storage location level.

This checking rule must be linked to checking control(opjk)in which you can say

1.No availability check for the material

2.Availability check when saving the order

3.What type of check is to be carried

whether ATP CHECK or Check against PIR quantities

4. Whether order should be released or not if there is

any missing parts.

The checking group is assigned to material master MRP3 view
