Portal Personalization and Customization

Hi All,

I have a confusion between portal customization and portal personalization...and l heard we can personalize the portal at various levels...what are those levels please any one clarify my dought..

Hi,

Portal personalization means, you have to change the background color, layouts,font color, font size, font type, image etc...

1. Iview level personalization

2. Page level personalization, layouts, content...

Portal Customization means making changes to the applications as per the business requirements of the client...Adding some options like save, delete in iview...

Just wanted to clear what Senthil have told...

<b>Portal Personalization</b> means to change the background color, theme, look and feel of the portal at <b>User level</b>. User level means only the things that user is allowed to change.

Personalization is at three levals:

1. IView level personalization

2. Page level personalization

3. Desktop level personalization

<b>Portal customization</b> is done at <b>Administrator level</b>. It means the same as personalization but done at administration level.
