use of KE51 and KS01

Hi,

Could anybody explain me what is the use of transactions KE51 and KS01 and under which module these transactions comes (SD or MM or ??).

KE51 is profit center creation(masterdata) tcode

KS01 is cost center creation tcode

it comes under CO(in FICO)

<b>Profit center:</b>

An organizational unit in Accounting that reflects a management-oriented structure of the organization for the purpose of internal control. Normally revenue are accured in profit center. eg., product line, location etc.,

(It is an organizational sub-unit that bears responsibility for revenues as well as cost.

)

Cost Center represents individual costs incurred during a given period

Profit Centers contain the balances of costs and revenues.
