Multi-level variant configuration

Hello all,

please help me with variant configuration scenario. We require multi-level configuration for PP purposes, some calculations in different BOM components. Currently the multi-level configuration is carried out in sales order creation (planned / Prod. order and multi-level BOM explosion in configuration profile). This is very bad for performance and also not necessary. I would like the multi-level configuration to happen only at production plant, in MRP. Could you please advice how to achieve it? we would not like to move on to order BOM scenario. If with current set-up the multi-level configuration is not carried out in sales order, it is not carried out later either... Thanks in advance,

Hi Anu,

I am a bit confused as to what you want to achieved? Do you want the explosion to happen only in MRP or the configuration ? Variant configuration is only possible through the sales order. Please let me know If I have missunderstood your issue.
