Dear All
I am preparing a report on ARIS platform, and i require some information on the difference between ARIS and VISIO.
Would be great if you could help me out in identifying the major differenct between the two.
ARIS is a modelling tool - Visio a drawing tool
ARIS has a atabase structure - Visio is a file system
ARIS is method based - visio has no method
ARIS can run analysis - visio not
ARIS reporting over different models - Visio no real reporting
ARIS has multi user support - visio is one user
ARIS autorisation concept - Visio not (except in the windows explorer)
ARIS can have filters which can hide certain information based on one model via authorisation
ARIS can be integrated with the solution manager - visio (and all other modeling tools can not).
these are some differences between ARIS and Visio. Hope this helpes you.
