Steps to install Mobile infrastructure

I have Nw2004s installation whch has AS-ABAP, AS-JAVA, BI-JAVA, EP installed.

Now i need to install Mobile Infrastructure in teh Server

Pls tell me the steps for the same

Hello Balaji,

You could refer to note 1094496 which has the info about the latest SP14 of MI. It also points to the installation guides.

But i dont have MI installed in my system.

Hello Balaji,

You may want to avoid doing this even if you find the way. SAP Note 855534 clearly mentions that it is not recommended.

o The installation of SAP NetWeaver MI (mobile infrastructure) in

the same system instance (the same SID) with SAP ECC or any other

NetWeaver component/usage type is currently not recommended.

Further is such an installation in view of a possible future

upgrade not recommended.

When you run the installation again, don't you get any option to choose installation of additional usage type ? Is MI available in that list ?

when i click on SAPinst again, it is asking me for a fresh installation and a new SID

Pls help
