release strategy

i have configured a release strategy for po and its working fine(release indicator is 6)

but this strategy is autmatically blocking the contracts (even though i have not configured any strategy for contract other than po) and even those contracts which were created in past before this strategy

what can be the reason behind this?????//

Dear Friend ,

Go and Check With Your Classification at your Strategy. Because Release Strategy Table wise P.O and Contract are Same.

i agree with u but the thing is if iam cretaing a strategy only for po and i have not moved a single brick for contract then why system is blocking the contract

Hi,

Check the Characteristics you have created while configuring the Release strategy.

If you included the document type as one of the characterstics and if you are using the same document type in creating the Contract the same may be reflect in the release strategy.

or you are using only total price and no other characterstics that time also it will affects.

check the characterstics first you will find the solution.

on the point of document type i will say that in contract documnet type i am using are MK,WK,DC,LP,LPA

and in po i have document type NB

now there is no relation of document type but yes i am using material group as one of the characterisitc and i have cnatract for that material group which is given in characterisitcs of po release strategy but the thing here to notice is his characterisitc is for po strat only

Hi!

Did you use document type as Classification in your release strategy. If not, maybe you should add this and specify the PO document types that you are using.
