back ground job scheduling

hi,

question regarding back ground scheduling, one program consists of a selection screen having some input field and program calling SMARTFORMS in the program. When I shedule it in back ground I am not seeing output in the spool, and job is not completed sucessfully, so what is the problem??

What is written in the Job Log? Any Short Dumps occurred while the job was executed? Any SysLog entries?

while running the report.. I am providing the print parameter like LP01 that I am not providing while scheduling this job. for selection-screen parameter I am passing Varient but how to pass the paramete LP01??

Hi,

Have you checked the job log? There may be messages produced that will indicate the problem, also does the program work when running in dialog?

probably the report is not designed to work properly in background.
