Hello friends,

What is transports request.When we save a object first time do we need thatt.what is the process

Hi,

TR is the method by which you can transport your development object to other servers like QAS, PRD.

If your object needs to be moved to other servers then you need transport request, if you want transport request you can couple of methods :

1. Once you a write and save, save it is z package and press enter a pop up window will be displayed there click on the create button, it will create a transport request.

2. If you want to create a transport request you can go to SE01, SE09 or SE10. There click on the create button and select Workbench Request checkbox.

Say u r creating a report program in ur Dev server and if u want to transport it to Quality server /production u must save the report in a Request.

And also at the same time u r creating a table and u r saving it in the same request,u can transport both report and table thru the very same request.

if ur report program is dependent on the table and the table is saved as a local object .Then the Transport will fail.because the table is not yet transported to quality(it is saved as local object).

U can create new request from se01,se09,

Hi

Tr is the only mechanism is provided by SAP to move our devlopments to the other sys like QAS/PRD.

At the time of doing any thing in SAP like developing or any thing releated to that,we need to save them in a packgae,client specified,than its asked under Local Obj or uner TR obj u want to save this,than we have to specifed it,so that ,at the time of moving the object form DEV to QAS we can do it by the reference of only 1 single TR.

Otheriwse,its will be diff for us to make the move of all the obj to other sys 1 by 1,so SAP had provided TR as a container whcih collects all the objects related to our developmet & send it thru one unique name/no(DEVK----

The Correction and Transport System

Changes created in the development system must somehow be moved, then incorporated into the test system, then subsequently moved and incorporated into the production system. The SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) serves this purpose and is the vehicle by which SAP moves objects such as programs, screens, configurations or security settings from one system to the next. Hi mate,

Transport req are very much needed if you are going to transport your program from Dev to QA to Prod. If you dont want to transport save the Object that you have created as Local Object.
