Hi

While saving ARE1 the number range is getting picked up from number range object J_1IINTNUM and not in J_1IARE1.

Pls help since the ARE 1 is not getting saved in continuity.

We are working on ECC 5.0

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I maintained the number range in object J_1IARE1 with appropriate series group but still the document is not getting saved with this number range object.

ARE-1 is getting saved in the number range object J_1IINTNUM.

Pls advise.

Thanks

Hi

Have you maintained the 'Number Range' number as 01, the Year (2007-if you are maintaining for the Financial Year: 2007-08) for the Object in J_1IARE1 for your Series Group in J1I9 (or SNRO)?. You need to be extremely careful when giving the Number Range Number as 01. Any other number is invalid and you run the risk of the ARE1 number not getting generated.

The J_1IINTNUM is an internal Reference number and is generated for all transactions.

Dear Gaurav

I think you have confused with internal numbers which would flow only you save the ARE-1 document.

Post the ARE-1 in J1IA101 by assigning the internal number reference. After posting, ARE-1 number will get updated for this internal number.

Hi Gaurav,

I was also facing the same problem & had posted it to SAP for rectification & the explanation given by them is as following:

Please note that when you create the ARE1 / ARE3 document the number

range object J_1iintnum will be used. This object will be shared by

all the excise transaction so that is why the document numbers are not

continuous. But when you post the ARE document then j_1iare1 & j_1iare3

object will be used which will be continuous. Please note that the

j_1iintnum number range is not the official document number for ARE or

any other excise transaction.

You can see the ARE1 official document number after posting the ARE

document. The ARE1 document can be found in Form no field in the

Document detail tab of the header

Hope the above solve ur query....

Thanks & Regards,

Antima

Dear Gaurav

Go to SNRO (or) SNUM and select object J_1IARE1 required by you and select NUMBER RANGE on top. It will ask for "Series Group". Give the respective plant's series group and click "Change intervals".

Now give some value in the field "No" followed by year and number range and save.

thanks
