Hi Murty,

Do you mean Excel format? If the output format you need isn't very complicated (just a header row and data rows) you can generate the output as CSV. You can open CSV file format with Excel.

If you need to generate formatted excel output, I think this Weblog could help you:

Hi,

In XI all the Message processing is by-default with XML format.

If you can explain your scenario the we could narrow down the preciseness for the suggestions.

When you work with HTTP adapter by-default the output format will be inXML format.

If you are dealing with file adapter then you have to use Message Protocall as "File" it will process the data in xml format.

Even with SOAP adapter you will get data in XML format.

Thanks

yes you can get the XMl output with file adapter.

While configuring the file adapter in communciation channel use Message Protocall as "File" and give some target fiel name as XXX.xls

The Message protocall with file will give the xls output as it is without any conversions.

Thanks
