Hello,

We have implemented ICWC in CRM 5.0 and i was wondering if it is possible to disable the Scratch Pad, Account Info Box, Alerts Box and Communication Info box so that i can gain some extra space for the my main application?

In which view can i find these things defined?

Thanks and Regards,

Vasu

Hello Vasu,

In CRM 2005 (CRM 5.0) it is not possible to disable or remove the Context Area (including the multi-channel toolbar, scratchpad, customer area, alert area and communication area). The Context Area is deeply integrated with the Interaction Center for messaging and polling (i.e., checking for new alerts, emails, telephone calls, etc.).

In CRM 7.0 (the release after CRM 2007), SAP plans to offer a configurable Context Area so that you can choose which components of the Context Area to display and which to hide -- which could potentially allow you to save a little more screen real estate.

Also, in addition, as I am sure you are probably you are also aware -- you can run the Browser in F11 full-screen mode to save some additional screen real estate.

Warm regards,

John
