Problem with SAPLPD Program when I'm printing through default printer.

Since we updated our HW (Server 64 bits and win 2003 Enterprise Server), we've been having problems with saplpd when we print through default printer, when this option is selected, suddenly the program SAPLPD stops.

The error message is the following "control file is missing". Then it must be closed and opened it again.

The log of System shows "Hanging application saplpd.exe, version 6.29.0.1, hang module hungapp" Event ID 1002

Could you help me to solve this problem?

Hi,

What is the version and patch level used in the sapgui. If its low pls update the patch and try printing. Some bugs may be fixed in the patch regarding the printout.

Hi Miguel,

I strongly recommend that you use "SAPSprint" instead of SAPLPD. It is running as a Windows service and more robust than SAPLPD. You can take a look at OSS note# 894444, for detailed information.
