error during notification creation

Dear all,

I am encountering problem while creating a notification, the error is as follows,

"Partner function AO is not allowed in partner determination profile ZPM

Message no. IX007

Diagnosis

You have not entered a valid partner function.

Procedure

Use the function for possible entries to find a valid partner function."

Kindly help me.

Hi,

Looks like a partner customizing issue:

Maintenance and Service Notifications

Notification Creation

Partners

- Define Partner Determination Procedure and Partner Function

Check each of these areas:

1 Define Partner Determination Procedure

2 Assign Partner Determination Procedure to Notification Type

3 Assign Partner Functions to Notification Type

Also check if it is a language issue with partner roles (see transaction OPSPAR2).

Dear all thanks for the help. Actually there was an user exit activated with reference to QM module. In that they have maintained PM notification nominclature, so it was throwing the error.

In your Partner Determination Profile ZPM Partner function and Function in determination is not defined.

First you define these by this

path: SPRO>IMGPlant Maintenance and Customer Service >Maintenance and Service Processing >Notification Creation >Partners Define Partner Determination Procedure and Partner Function

here you select PM (radio Button) define Function in determination Procedure and Partner Function for ZPM

If this step is done than go to Overview of Notification Type select your notification type and than double click on Partner Determination Procedure you selct ZPM as input field in PartnDetProc and than double click on Partner Function and Approval. In it you select you select ZPM in Partner Functions, Approval and application 01

After this I hope you will not face the problem.
