- What is the difference between shipment (tcode: VT01N) and delivery (tcode: VL01N)?
- Is shipment a process at which I can combine deliveries / delivery items which can be from different customers?
Thanks in advance for the answers...

hi
Simply i can say that if you use VT01N t.code, automatically PGI and Billing will be created.
In the case of VL01N only delivery will be created. PGI and Billing you have to create manually.

Hi,
Shipment is nothing but truck allocation. During the shipment process, you will assign the deliveries to a shipment using VT01N T-Code. VL01N is used to create the deliveries.
to process shipment, First enter Transportaion planning point and Shipment and select Deliveries on the application toolbar.
Then system prompts you a selection screen. Enter here selection criteria and press continue. now the system will assign all the relevent deliveries to that shipment. If you want to remove a delivery from the shipment, you can do it by selecting the delivery and click on Down arrow.
Now you save the shipment.
