ESS - duration of absence

hi there,

we are using the ESS scenario for 'absence'. a user can enter their absence which has to be approved/disaproved.

in this application there is a field 'duration of absence', which is displayed after entering the data. i want to hide this field, as it shows wrong information for some specific reasons.

how to change the ESS-webdynpro-application ? we are on Portal 7.00.

Hi

Use can hide this field with the help of an Portal consultant. Just log in to the administrator log in on ESS and go to contant administrator under that go to the iview of leave system under that just right click on that and hide the fields as required.

i am the portal-admin myself, but very new to it

WHERE can i hide the field ? in the 'content adminstration' i only can change the prop. of the iview.

pls help.

Hi,

Logon to Portal, click on Content Administration role -> Portal Content -> here you will find the Portal content folders.

Navigate to -> Portal Content -> Content provided by SAP -> End user Content -> Employee Self Service.

This is the area where all your Employee related iviews(Integrated views) are present.

Here, go to Leave application iview (Folder Iview -> Leave -> Open the leave iview) - Ctrl + Right

Now, here you will be able to see the webdynpro iview personalization settings to hide the drop downs, buttons etc.,

Save the settings and then login as End user.
