Please read OSS note 24851:

Note 24851 - Structure BALTD: Importance of OLDN1 and OLDN2

Symptom

What importance do the fields OLDN1 (old main asset number) or OLDN2 (old asset subnumber) have?

Solution

No fields are available in the SAP asset table for the previous asset number of the copied system.

The fields OLDN1 and OLDN2 are reserved for a possible, future development where the conversion program returns the depreciation calculated by the SAP System. These two fields represent the allocation, so that this depreciation value can be compared with the value calculated in the existing system.

This development has not been carried out and is not yet planned.

Therefore, both of these fields can be ignored when copying.

The only Structures I found OLDN1 are BALTB and BALTD, both used for data transfer.

Once you transfer data, you assign an Asset number to it in the new system and you can (hopefully) store the legacy number using the Original Asset Number field in ANLA (AIBN1).

Cheers.

Have you tried ANLA?
