Hello, I am new to CRM 2007. But I have been a basis admin for 10 years now. I have a problem where when in the WebUI, and stay idle for say 10 minutes or so, I get Your session has timed out! Click here to restart.
I've set icm/conn_timeout = 9999999 , icm/keep_alive_timeout = -1 but the problem persists.
-- Thanks!
Please check other parameters also.
rdisp/plugin_auto_logout
icm/conn_timeout
icm/keep_alive_timeout
rdisp/keepalive_timeout
rdisp/keepalive
rdisp/gui_auto_logout

icm/keep_alive_timeout when changed, one needs to stop / restart sap abap. It's not a dynamic parameter that one can change via transaction RZ11. We set it to a minimum of -1 and max of 99999.
Thanks!

Hi ,
I'm not an expert here , just for suggestion can you try
icm/keep_alive_timeout = 3600 ( 1 hour , this should be ideal as we should not allow application to be alive for very long, this would create more performance and Security issues ).
I'm not sure about re-staring the system to get these ICM parameters applicable ,
With your experience can u let me know does a re-start needed if any ICM setting is changed ?
Regards,
Vijay.

Hi, this parameter is not dynamic, so a restart is required. According to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/1a/023d63b8387c4a8dfea6592f3a23a7/frameset.htm a -1 value deactivates the timeout.
I'll try what you suggest.
Thanks for the help
