Module to remove special characters

Is there any module that I can add in my communication channel to remove a special character ( )

from my input file ?? Here I can't use UDF in my mapping as it it failing just before the mapping

step execution. So ultimately I got to remove these special characters just beofre the mapping step.

So If I am not wrong I can do this only through external module.

Can you figure out, where these characters come from? Which hex code do they have?

You can find these characters in Basic Latin code page with hex value of 1A.
