ADO.NET (XML) Data Source missing in Crystal Reports Developer 10

I have installed Crystal Reports Developer 10 on a clean XP machine but I do not have the ADO.NET (XML) Data Source available in the Database Expert window.

Does anyone have any idea how I can make this available?

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,

You have to have VS.NET 2002 or 2003 installed on the machine prior to installing CR10 Dev to have the crdb_adoplus.dll installed and usable in Crystal 10.

Thanks for you reply Jason.

I installed the .NET Framework 2.0 and then was able to "change" the Crystal installation to include the ADO.NET Data Access feature.

Excellent. It had been so long since I had done it I couldnt remember if it needed just the framework or the entire VS.NET app and everything I found said it took the entire app. I am glad that wasnt the case!

Good luck,

Jason
