export subreport w/report to csv file

Is it possible to export a subreport with a report to Excel (csv)? Everytime I do, the subreport does not show up.

No, I didn't- sorry. I ended up exporting as xls data only format.

What version of Crystal and Excel ? ...are the sub reports "on demand"? is the sub report displayed when you run the main report ? I think Crystal will only export a report as it is viewed, eg. as you see it after it runs.

The subreport is supposed to be displayed with the main report.

The export process will send to Excel what is currently displaying on the report page. Thus, this will work for subreports. The exception is on-demand subreports because you have to double click on the link to display it on a second tab. Since it is on a separate tab, it's not displayed as part of the main report and won't be exported with the main report. So don't use on-demand subreports and you will be okay.

Dirk, I don't know. I tried a test myself, and it doesn't work either.

I can export the main report data or the sub report data (in csv) but not

both...and this is just a regular sub report, not on-demand.
