We are entering a project, where the customer wants to install ESS/MSS on the SAP Portal and present it through their existing Sharepoint. We have been through the documentation on SAP/Sharepoint integration ([http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/c/1/bc1939d9-638f-4053-b602-4258f18bb683/CB_045_Interoperability%20between%20SAP%20NetWeaver%20Portal%20and%20Microsoft%20SharePoint%20Server%202007.pdf]) and it seems that non-dynpro iViews should be supported by the iView Web Part. For Dynpro-iViews, we have found a guide on how to add a custom Web Part ([http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/a/4/1a488ec6-2d2f-4ced-8076-cda626baf280/DynproMOSSIntegration.pdf])
We have concerns about the following points:
1: eventing: Will the interaction between the iviews in ESS/MSS work from Sharepoint?
2: dynpro: Will the custom Web Part work?
3: other issues: will there be bad surprises?
Did anyone integrate ESS/MSS (or other business packages) to Sharepoint? Any experience you would like to share would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
Ane
Hi Ane,
As far as the eventing is concerned, it should work as long as sharepoint does not prevent js scripts from external sources to execute. As for the other two I can't advise you unfortunately as I've never integrated ESS/MSS into sharepoint.
Cheers,
Dion
