Crystal Reports 2008 Redistributable MSI

Hi,

I am developing an application in Visual Studio 2008 which uses Crystal Reports 2008. Due to the new support sight, .NET cannot download the Redistributable Packages when installing the application on new computer.

If possible, could someone direct me to the CR 2008 Redistributable .MSI for .NET 2008. This would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Dave;

Go to the Business Objects Link above, choose Business Objects Downloads (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects), select Crystal Reports, and Utility as the software type.

Hi Jonathan,

I am unable to find really what I am looking for, but perhaps you could give me some advice.

I have set the prerequisites to download from component vendor website, but the links apparently have changes and my app will not download the required files.

This makes the application effectively useless, seeing as it will not install. Would you recommend creating a setup/deployment project with the merge modules for now, or wait until the move is complete?

Hi

I am a mid size firm, I had built an application based on VS 2008. I have come across this document

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-21575    just click on VIEW DOCUMENT.

This document says we need a OEM contract for Commercial Hosting. Now as CR inside VS 2008 and VS 2008 itself is EOL & Out of support do I need to sign any OEM contract with anybody for its hosting or any kind of Web redistribution.

I think the best would be to create a new setup using either the merge modules or the click once method.
